Changing Course

It’s been exactly 1 year since my last post. In this past year, there were a few technical issues with the site that took a while to resolve, but truthfully, I was in no rush to resolve them as my interest in updating the blog has waned. At this point, I’ve decided to close Making The Mogul.

Part of this disinterest is due to the current state of the blogging world and the increasing trend of faux “influencers”, and part of it is due to the fact that I have been heavily questioning my relationship with the music industry.

To date, I have been incredibly grateful for the opportunities I’ve had, and am so proud of all the amazing work my team has done. But something has been eating away at my spirit which I haven’t been able to identify clearly. The deeper I’ve gotten into the industry, the more I realize I don’t care for it. My passion is music, not the music business.

My love for music has led me down this amazing journey, but now I’m the point where I need to take a step back and re-evaluate my options. I’m not sure what’s next for me, professionally or personally, but whatever comes next, it will be intentional, and it will be informed by this great journey I’ve already have the blessing of experiencing.

Moving forward, you can find me at mohitarora.ca

Merci.
