Talking With Rock City

Rock City

Calling brothers, Theron & Timothy (aka Rock City), just rappers or singers, would be to barely scratch the surface.

They are artists – in every sense of the word.

I spoke with Theron aka Da Spokesman about Rock City’s entry into the music business, writing for the biggest artists on the planet, and of course, their movement – PTFAO.

Konvict Muzik's Bu Shows You The Life Of A Young Music Exec

Last year, I featured the big homie, Bu; co-CEO of Konvict Muzik.

Not only did that feature get some attention, but a lot of people started asking for more information about him, his ventures and his everyday life.

Well, Bu decided it was time, and so he recently joined Twitter & launched his own YouTube channel.

Make sure to subscribe to his updates on both sites, as he’s going to be offering some insight into his life as a young music executive.

Akon, Steve Rifkind & Devyne Stephens Goofing Around

LOL! Wooooooooowww. I can’t stop laughing at this video. Here’s a little behind-the-scenes footage for y’all.

Akon, Devyne Stephens, Steve Rifkind and others were goofing around and dancing to Akon’s “Right Now” in Steve Rifkind’s office at SRC Records. Devyne starts it all off with a goofy little dance, then some friends jump in and join in on the fun.

The best though, is when Akon’s bodyguard starts dancing at 2:45 into the clip. He gets into a funky groove and then busts into the funniest dance you’ve ever seen.

Quick heads up in case you’re watching this at work: you WILL fall to the floor laughing when the bodyguard catches his groove at 3 minutes in. Guaranteed!

Kardinal Offishall ft. Akon – Dangerous (Video)

When I spoke with Bu the other day, he mentioned an upcoming video for Kardi‘s new single, “Dangerous” featuring Akon.

Well, here it is!

The video just dropped and it looks dope! I gotta give it up to Kardi, he’s been doing his thing for a minute and has been breaking barriers for Canadian artists for a long time now. It’s a real good look to see him with a team that can do him justice and hopefully bring him the attention that he deserves.

The video is packed with guest appearances. From first glance I notice DJ Khaled, Ray L, Solitair, Clinton Sparks, DJ Benny D, Bu, Supa Dups, Lindo P, DJ DOC, a noticeable placement by Married To The Mob and of course the gorgeous leading lady, who we’ll just call “Maxine” for now.

It’s 3am so I might be missing a few people, but if you notice someone else in the video, leave a comment below and I’ll add them in.

Enjoy!
